After discovering journalism during my exchange year in Canada, I started thinking more deeply about the role journalists play in our society. From Classroom to Newsroom: My Journalism Experience in Canada Last year, I had the incredible opportunity to spend a year in Canada as part of an exchange program. During this experience, I didn’t just discover a new culture and improve my English. I also worked on a fascinating project with my class: we explored the world of journalism and learned how news is created, written, and shared with the public. At first, journalism seemed quite simple to me. I thought journalists only had to write articles and report facts. But very quickly, I realized that the process is much more complex and demanding. In class, we learned how to research information carefully, verify our sources, and build clear and engaging stories.  It was both challenging and exciting.
